About Dr. Chinn

Dr. Chinn was born in Columbus, OH and moved to Bethesda, MD as a child. After graduating high school, he spent a year in Israel where he worked as a medic for Israel’s national first response unit, Magan David Adom. He did his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University in NY, where he studied biology. After college, Dr. Chinn did research at NIH on adenosine receptors and biomedical applications of neo-ligands. He attended George Washington University for medical school, where he graduated as a member of the honors medical society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). Dr. Chinn started his residency training at GW in the department of Neurosurgery, but after 2 years, he decided to change focus and switched to Anesthesia. After completing his Anesthesia training at GW, he then did a Pain Medicine fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess-Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Chinn currently lives in Maryland with his wife, 4 children, and dog.
