About Dr. Kelly

Dr. Matthew Kelly, MD joins the International Spine, Pain & Performance Center team as a board-certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician specializing in Sports Medicine. Dr. Kelly studied Biology at Boston College and completed medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, where he stayed on for his medicine internship before moving to Washington, D.C.

Dr. Kelly has since trained locally, completing both his PM&R residency and Sports Medicine fellowship at Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital/Georgetown University Hospital. Through his affiliation with the National Capital Sports Medicine Consortium (NCSMC) during fellowship, Dr. Kelly has worked with both civilian and military physicians across multiple specialties, developing expertise in the prevention, evaluation, and management of a wide breadth of musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related concerns. With particular interest in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, as well as fluoroscopic-guided spine and joint procedures, Dr. Kelly believes in a comprehensive and multimodal approach to musculoskeletal care and is passionate about getting his patients back to whatever it is they love doing most!

Dr. Kelly is accepting new patients and sees patients at both the Washington, D.C. and Arlington, VA clinic locations.
